Mysoulisahippie is an independent musician based in Montreal, Canada. His music is a mix of progressive, indie-chill, and indie folk/pop. You can hear crispy ambient guitar melodies with a hint of polyrhythms in his music. He derives inspiration from his experiences and the musicians around him. While music has been his passion and is what drives him, he also loves coding and works as an Artificial Intelligence Research Scientist in the city. His journey as a musician began in 2009, when he along with his schoolmates formed a band called Shabd, in Bhubaneswar, a small city on the eastern coast of India. With Shabd, he experimented with a then-nascent genre called progressive fusion, which is a mix of progressive rock and Indian classical. While he played as the lead guitarist of Shabd, he was also a part of two other metal bands. In 2015, he moved to Germany, where he went into a three-year long musical hiatus. During this time, he played with the local musicians and experimented with his style of music. This hiatus helped him find his inner calling and helped him understand the kind of music he wants to create. His songs – I See You Now and Vamonos were originally composed during that time. The electronic music scene of Montreal inspired him and shaped his sound even further. Currently, he produces all his songs from his living room and also collaborates with his bandmates from Shabd.
