With a natural ear for minimalistic compositions, Chris Hue has been gradually making his entrance in the music scene by presenting his diverse yet undeniable recognizable sound. Through combining multiple disciplines into one aesthetic - he’s heavily focused on both the audio-visual part as well as the branding of his project - the young Dutch creative has been able to leave his first footprints in the international music industry. After the success of his first single ‘Crowded’ which accumulated over 800k streams on Spotify the, at that time, very young producer felt that he wanted to diversify his sound and creatively explore the musical realm even more. It led to the creation of his collaborative debut EP ‘Counting Hours’ together with singer/songwriter MAY BBY. The EP, a melancholic body of work, received support from prominent Dutch tv talk show ‘De Wereld Draait Door’, radio 3FM and editorial playlists such as New Music Friday NL and A Shot Of Indie. Apart from the local market it also got picked up by global blogs such as Earmilk. Proving to be a lot more versatile than his initial releases may have indicated, Chris is now re-fuelling with lots of new music and energy for the upcoming months. Wanting to inspire and uplift his peers who had a difficult time during several lockdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he has been working on a more wild, energetic and youthful indie-pop sound.
