During lockdown in early 2021, singer Scott Wilkes received an unexpected phone call from the management team of UK A-list TV presenter and celebrity chef, Gino D’Acampo. Thinking that the call was probably to ask him to sing at one of Gino’s well known restaurants, Scott traveled from his home in Birmingham (UK) to meet Gino in London. To Scott’s surprise Gino told him that for many years, he had been keeping to himself a secret ingredient…..his talent as a songwriter. Gino had been spending his time cooking up some tasteful songs, and had been searching the internet on a quest to find someone else to be, as he told Scott, “the perfect voice for my thoughts and for my heart”. With a bit of Harry Styles, Michael Bublé and a touch of Country all rolled into one, Gino thought that not only did Scott have the voice, but also the looks to match. Not knowing what to expect, Scott was naturally curious, and upon hearing the songs, he was simply blown away. Since then, Gino and Scott have been working on Scott’s debut album, ‘Me and My Guitar’ (release date 10th March 2023), and in a world exclusive, Gino introduced Scott on the UK’s flagship daytime programme ‘This Morning’.
