Lowmello is a creamy indie/psych rock band and is helmed by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Abel John who is currently based out of the dazzling deserts of New Mexico. Master songwriter from Riverside, CA, Abel John relocated to Albuquerque in 2016 and began work on his debut album, Big Bang Boomerang, which has tons of synth and delays to give it a west-coast electric breezy feel. Independent music journalist, Joe Smith (Stringer) said the first album had “a futuristic spirit of synthetic breezes and waves.” Abel John says the new EP titled "That Sweet Breath" will continue the synth sound but will be grittier, with fuzzy guitars and a more psychedelic vibe. Abel admits the new album contains a heavy dose of vulnerability, which dives into his personal loss, trauma, ego, and the never-ending growth and aging process, and he cleverly blends those emotions into writing all aspects (all instruments) of his music.
