Atlanta, GA > Nashville, TN Since my first release in 2007, I have worn the singer-songwriter moniker with deep reverence for the many who came before: The bewitching melancholy of Nick Drake and Elliott Smith. The lyrical mastery of Paul Simon and Bob Dylan. The utter uniqueness of Tom Waits and the once-in-a lifetime magic that was The Beatles. Jeff Buckley’s voice, the words of Leonard Cohen, and the confidence of Prince. If I was more talented, I’d sound like one of them, all of them. But after three albums and more than a decade of lending my songwriting to other artists and projects, here I am: still sounding like me, and whatever that was, whatever it’s becoming, still matters. It matters deeply. So I project no lofty expectations besides this: I commit to continue to put out music that is increasingly who I *actually* am.
