Fans have said for years that indie-pop artist Happie Hoffman’s voice helps people access their emotions. For that calling, she’s traveled the globe delivering soulful catharsis in song. Today, Happie’s musical mission is a personal one. Her first ever solo EP, Heartbreak Season—distributed by Venice Music Co, the platform recently launched by Troy Carter and Suzy Ryoo—is a sensually emotive 5-song collection that marks a radical reinvention born from the end of romantic and professional relationships and artistic rebirth. Happie will be sharing this new era in her artistic continuum at the revered Austin City Limits Music Festival. 
 Heartbreak Season is an indie-pop record that mixes warmly organic instrumentation with sleek electro-ambiance, storyteller narratives, sultry grooves, and seductive sentimentality that conjures almost a vintage soul vibe. Stylistic signposts for this EP point to Maggie Rogers, Adele, John Legend, and Lana Del Rey. Conceptually, Heartbreak Season is a snapshot of dating, relationships, and the quest for deep romance. The EP was written with pop-rock artist iRO Music, aka Ori Rakib—a talented songwriter who has worked with Macklemore, Shane McAnally, and won NBC’s Songland songwriting television competition, and it features the soul/electronic/folk production and multi-instrumentalist skills of Gene Evaro Jr. 
 Previously, Happie toured the world as one half of indie folk duo Eric & Happie with Eric Hunker.
