Bastard Chain began as a joke back in the summer of 2009 when Mario and Ema (who previously worked together in After Omega for long years) recorded two satirical jingles. At that time, Mario had to leave on a military deployment. Ema continued with After Omega until March 2010 when the vocalist left the band. After this they decided to start a new project that better reflected their musical tastes and styles. Bastard Chain was born. Once Mario returned home they immediately started working on new material and recording. During this process they recruited Gustavo, and later on Jonathan to play guitar and drums respectively.
