Toronto-based rapper, singer, songwriter Tara Lord (Pronounced Tar- rah Lord) has been making waves by creating her own lane in the music scene. She steers away from gimmicks and negativity, spreading positive messages in her music while staying authentic to herself. Her inspiration stems from her early love of music and her musical upbringing. From a young age Tara has been developing her skills as a songwriter, performer and an overall artist. Her father, Toronto Hip Hop pioneer “RP Rap”, helped her find her voice at 10 years old. She made her Hip-Hop music scene debut at the age of 12 as “Little T”. In 2018, she began using her birth name as she grew from the child artist she once was. Tara Lord was a part of Toronto History in September of 2022 by performing at the very first Rolling Loud Toronto. She recently headlined Toronto Pride on Wellesley Stage. Her most recent release “Winning” was selected as this year’s Globl Jam basketball tournament official soundtrack, and she performed it live on Sportsnet at the Gold Medal Games. The rapper, singer, songwriter is working toward releasing her first project as Tara Lord, Fall of 2023. The project is a body of music inspired by her journey navigating through life, trauma and vulnerability as an artist. Her vision is to continue to spread positivity through her music.
