Armiferum is a brazilian progressive power metal band, formed in São Paulo, in 2020, by musicians Ian Gonçalves (vocals), Guto Cardozo (guitars), Fred Barros (guitars), Rafael Bochnia (bass), Vithor Moraes (Keyboards) and Ivan Macedo (drums). The name, Armiferum, comes from latin, and means "he who carries the weapons". The strong pronunciation and poetic meaning are in line with the band's goals, which always seek to create everything with all available weapons. The band's sound is characterized by the speed, choruses and striking melodies of power metal, adorned by the aggressiveness and complexity of prog metal. The diversity and technical quality of the musicians bring a modern perspective to their music by combining 3 important and complex genres in a very natural way, and that comes from the different influences and musical preferences of each of the musicians.
