Vesuvian is a melodic death metal band hailing from the Pacific Northwest. Formed in 2015, the band is known for their dynamic sound that blends aggressive death metal with haunting melodies and intricate guitar work. The band's current lineup consists of lead vocalist RJ Mitchell, lead guitarist, Jax Larkin, and rhythm guitarist, bassist, drummer, Patrick Bradford. Together, they have crafted a unique sound that has earned them a devoted following in the local metal scene and beyond. Vesuvian draws inspiration from a wide range of musical influences, from classic death metal acts like Death and Morbid Angel to more modern metal bands such as At the Gates, Obscura, Fleshgod apocalypse and In Flames. Their music is characterized by intense, driving rhythms, soaring guitar solos, and Mitchells unique powerful yet legible, guttural vocals. In 2020, the current lineup released their EP, "Devotion to Infinity," which received critical acclaim from metal fans and music critics alike. Since then, they have been steadily building their fanbase with electrifying live shows and a relentless work ethic that has seen them sharing stages with some of the biggest and up and coming names in metal such as: Exodus, Nekrogoblikon, Ne Obliviscaris, Lorna Shore, Unleash The Archers, Xandrea, Aether Realm, Allegaeon and Visions of Atlantis.
