Apophys [ah/po/fihs] Netherlands based death metal act, Apophys, boasts members of renowned Dutch bands including God Dethroned and Toxocara. The band formed in 2012 and have since been surgically carving their path in the modern death metal scene. Apophys prioritizes song structure above technicality, and strives to become part of the new standard in death metal. Since the release of their debut album Apophys has toured internationally with acts like: Vader, Hate Eternal, Dying Fetus, Misery Index, Cattle Decapitation and many others as well as several festival appearances on Eindhoven Metal Meeting and Deathfeast Open Air among others. 2017 starts of with the recordings the second album entitled: Devoratis. Produced by Stefano Morabito, known from his work with Fleshgod Apocalypse and Hour of Penance, Apophys will mark their name in the genre for good.
