Founded in 2020, The Upstairs District is a five-piece, guitar-based indie electronica band hailing from Western Mass. 
 
 Grounded by the intricate guitar work of Mac Almeida, the pounding drums of Casey Davey, Josh Gibson's syncopated bass, Milou Rigollaud's personal and profound lyrics, and Ryan Gies's light and airy synth sounds, The Upstairs District takes their listeners on a journey. Truly original yet approachable, the group blends their sound into a musical vision similar to the work that has inspired them such as SPIRIT OF THE BEEHIVE, Tame Impala, STRFKR, and The Strokes. Their arrangements leave the audience with a sense of familiarity by the end of the song without sacrificing the novelty of new sections and leaving room for experimentation. 
 
 Most notably, The Upstairs District has played at the 2022 "Narragansett Spring Festival," Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center (Greenfield, MA), and the 2022 "Let's Be Friends Festival."

 The group is currently working on their debut album 'Sequence & Diffuse' set to release in 2023.
