Henry Lee Schmidt is an independent musician based in Spain. After breaking up with The False Friends, he started a solo career in 2011. One year later, in 2012, he released Revisiting The False Friends, Vol. 1, an EP with six covers from his former band with a new country style. At the end of 2014, Henry Lee published his first album, ...In The Wrong Country, with 10 brand new unheard songs, and a full band behind. In 2017, he returned to the studio to record A Quiet Man, this time with a bluegrass trio as a band. The album was recorded live, and featured eight songs. In 2020, Henry Lee released Covered, a 5-song EP with covers from bands such as Minor Threat, The Stooges or Daniel Johnston. The songs were recorded during the 'A Quiet Man' sessions, with the same band and sound. That very 2020, Henry Lee Schmidt started working on a brand new album, Unfinished Business, which took more than two years to complete because of the worldwide pandemic situation. “Unfinished business” is releasing on March 30, 2023.
