Биография

Raised by his grandparents in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Wizdakidd (born Joseph T. Gordon Jr. in 1998) started producing his freshman year in college at Jackson State University, producing tracks for his early mixtapes in his dorm room. After a flurry of increasingly strong mixtapes (most notably 2021's numa), Wiz made his major-label leap with 2021’s The Loner Returns XL. After starting his own label from the ground up (WDK Records) He kicked off early 2021 with a string of similar mixtapes (Safely To the moon, Soul Snatcher 6, S.S.7, and S.S.X) that continued to chart his sound, featuring collaborations with nemraps and many more. Sometimes Aggressive yet sometimes soulful, Wiz’s lyrics feels like a natural step in the evolution of southern hip-hop songs, echoing both Gunna and Young Thug as well as Lil Baby and other Southern rappers HOMETOWN Clarksdale, MS GENRE Hip-Hop/Rap BORN May 24, 1998
