Nashville's longest-running two-bass loud rock unit, delivering melody-forward post-punk in 2.5 minute chunks since 2012. The long-running rhythm section of bassist Mike Shepherd and drummer Jereme Frey (both ex-Apollo Up!, Gentleman Divers) are joined by Sarah Shepherd on bass* and Currey May on guitar. Their songs range from intricate single-note puzzle boxes ("Manifest Destiny," "No Place at Home") to straight ahead guitar rockers ("Under the Sea," "Schools"), always bolstered by meticulous layers of melody and harmony. Their second release on yk records, 2020's In the City, is a showcase of concise songcraft, trimming the fat of each tune for maximum impact in minimum time. Previous releases include 2016's Stay Inside EP–which, like In the City, was recorded by Grammy-winning engineer Jeremy Ferguson–and their debut LP, 2013's Mind the Menagerie, which was recorded by Bully's Alicia Bognano.
