Биография
Drew Kennedy has devoted his life to writing and performing his songs his way. With a catalog nine-albums deep, one novel penned, and two annual music festivals created-- (the Red River Songwriters’ Festival and the Marathon Songwriters Festival), Kennedy has done more than build a strong career. He has reimagined what it means to be a songwriter, both artistically and entrepreneurially. Billboard Magazine, No Depression, CMT, American Songwriter, and Cowboys and Indians Magazine have praised his efforts. His always-expanding circle of collaborators includes Patrick Droney, Lori McKenna, Walt Wilkins, Matraca Berg, Jeff Hanna, Travis Meadows, Sean McConnell, Susan Gibson, Josh Grider and others, while Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Patty Loveless and Jason Eady, Droney, McKenna, Wilkins, Grider and more have recorded his songs. “You can’t wait for someone to give you the green light,” Kennedy says. “You have to take ownership of what you’re doing and make it happen for yourself. It’s not a right to get to do this. It’s a privilege. You can’t take that for granted.”
