SHATTERED SIGH is a doom/melodic death metal band from Barcelona formed in 2010. In October 2011, we entered Barcelona's Axtudio to record our first self-edited demo entitled Black Whirlpool in honour of the base project that was SHATTERED SIGH. The following years would prove to be aptly twisted and bleak, doom metal band that we are, as the band suffered changes in its line-up, although we also worked on new material. With new songs ready, we returned to Axtudios to record what would become our first LP, an extract of which was uploaded to Bandcamp for promotion. Endless Winter, a Russian label specialised in doom metal, contacted us upon hearing our music and showed interest in releasing the full album. Thus, in November 2017, Distances was released. Yet again, some line-up changes left us handicapped for some time. Mid 2019, Luis becomes a member of SHATTERED SIGH completing the line-up as follows; Luis – vocals, Dani y Jordy – guitars, Lu – keyboards, Yann – drums and Sergio – bass. In early 2020, after various concerts sharing stage with bands such as ONIROPHAGUS, GOD’S FUNERAL and EVADNE, we made the most of the forced lockdown to get on with what will become our new album. In the midst of the global pandemic and with 7 new songs, we went back to our familiar Axtudios to record our newest release Through dark veils with Solitude Producctions
