    BIOGRAPHY: Marrok - a name that stands for hard rock since their beginning. Supported by playful guitar riffs, driving bass lines, heavy drums, and the voice of singer Brian Pearl. Their thrilling sound, enriched with an extraordinary live show, fascinates fans not only restricted to Austria but on an international scale in over 300 played shows. The band was founded in 1998 in Steyr. In 2002, their self-produced EP "Extreme" was released. In 2005, the band won the Austrian Newcomer Award. In 2009, Marrok released - in new formation - their album "Reawakening". In 2010, the band participated in a variety of band contests and won the "International Live Award" in Vienna and therefore gained awareness in the scene. In 2011, their third studio album "Midnight Carnival" was released while in April of the same year, Marrok won the title "Austria's Best Band" in a gotv hosted by user-voting. In 2012, the band was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the category "Hard & Heavy". Furthermore, they also were awarded the "Golden Pinguin" of the music magazine Xpress. Other winners of past years include artists such as Michael Jackson and Falco. In August 2012, Marrok released their fourth studio album "Days Of Mercury" and could get first spot on the iTunes Rock Charts.
