    Now that loud guitars seem to be creeping back into the Spanish music scene it seems like the perfect moment for Noise Box to release their most colourful and ambitious album to date. The band has been polishing their sound since their early days to come up with an album that draws on their shoegazing , post-rock, power pop and alt-rock roots and leads the way into more atmospheric territories. Throughout "Every Picture of You Is When You Were Younger", there is a constant tension between nostalgia and the willingness to embrace the present. The album starts off with Transit, a whisper that unfurls in a blossoming tidal wave of sound that lifts us up in the air setting the mood. Upbeat tracks like "Magic", "Dunes and Trees" or "Big Boy" are catchy and dramatic all at once, while "In Your Dreams", "Disintegrating Landscapes" and "The Weight of Light" show a much dreamier facet of the band. Those who have a soft spot for pop gems will find plenty to enjoy as well with songs like "Broken Teeth" or "She Was Daydreaming", where Noise Box show their craftsmanship writing infectious tunes. The darkest side of the album arrives with the closer "Run", where we stumble upon an explosion of thundering drums, roaring guitars and ear-piercing synths that blend prog-rock, kraut-rock and noise-rock in a powerful storm until the song collapses under a cloud of noise.
