Three generations, one passion The Waiting is a band that cuts across three generations of musical passion. As unique as this might be, it isn’t that strange as the ‘youngsters’ in the band draw their inspiration mainly from ‘the old’: the sixties, seventies, and nineties. Their love for that music transcends the age differences. Roots The rhythm section is the oldest part of the band. The roots of bass player Theo De Grood and drummer Franky Gomez go deep and form a foundation that is both tight and solid, yet lively. Colours  On top of the rhythm section, there is lots of space for colours and moods. With two fantastic guitarists (Len David and Martijn Geuijen) and a versatile keyboard player (Bas Vossen) in their ranks, The Waiting can handle any musical style and won’t back down from sonic experiments; especially live. From raw, sharp rock songs to warm, psychedelic ballads: The Waiting goes everywhere without losing itself.  Wind Frontman and songwriter Ruud Versteden completes this cross-generational unit with captivating lyrics and contagious energy.
