Kotrell, born Atonopriya Cotterell, is an afro pop-soul artist and mix engineer from Rivers State, Nigeria. His sound is a unique blend of african soul and western pop music. Kotrell's soulful voice and rich tone affords him the ability to paint pictures with his vocals and watertight lyricism. 
 While still in high school, Kotrell began his music journey as a rapper. At age 9, he composed his first song, and at age 11, made his debut studio recording. He began playing the guitar and along the line, had an epiphany after watching a music video of English singer and songwriter Ed sheran performing at the MTV storytelling program in 2015. This was when his adventure into the world of soul and alternative music began. 
 Kotrell's growth became evident when he had his first sold out solo show "Kotrell Live in Concert" in 2018 while studying Economics at Bowen University, where he graduated as a first class student. Kotrell, known for delivering breathtaking and emotionally provocative performances has shared the stage with some of Nigeria's most sort after performers likes; Ric Hassani, Johnny Drille, Praiz, Timi Dakolo, Chike, and Ladipoe, to mention a few. 
 With music influences like; Akon, Ed Sheeran, Khalid, Drake and his older brother Edmond Cotterell, Kotrell continues to evolve as a singer/songwriter, performer, and recording artiste, ready to share his gift the world and tell the stories that matter through his music.
