Aidan Jack Finnecy and AC Borress met in Montclair New Jersey, in 2014, when they were eleven years old. They started recording music together in AC’s basement in the summer of 2019, with Aidan writing and performing the songs while AC produced them. In 2020, they released their debut E.P. under Aidan’s name, “I Don't Care About What You're Saying, So Shut the Fuck Up”followed by two singles, “Rhubarb” and “The Pet Store”. In 2021, they released the single “Believe” and two more E.P.‘s, “The Plot Thickens” and “Before We Changed”. That year, bassist Christian Ferraro and drummer Sal Lano were added to the lineup for live performances. The group began performing constantly in and around New Jersey, and were dubbed “Aidan and the Jack Finnecy’s”. In 2022, AJF saw the release of two more singles, “Because” and “Ava” the former of which was produced by LKFFCT’s Max Rauch, the latter of which placed on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds Indie” playlist. The group then independently booked and performed their debut tour across the east coast, the eight date “Taking Flight Tour Summer ‘22”. This past December, Finnecy and Borress released their fourth E.P. “In the Center of a Contradiction”, followed by two more singles, “Aidan and the Jack Finnecy's” and “Hunter” (the latter of which was produced by Skylar Pocket’s Zach Shectman).
