I'm writing Psalms like my name is David
There were times at some points, where I couldn't take it
But I've learned through the trails and the tribulation
That the Lord will be my Lord in my situations
Love and a good word will complete a facelift
Turn a frown upside down and get back to basics
Spiritual war going through training
So I know how to stand when it starts raining
So I stand on the word and work on my patience
Endure through the trails just to be complete
Once it was the milk of the word now I feed on meat
So I can discern what is good not to be deceived
Because on my knees where I learned how to stand on my feet
I know the Lord will stand with me, when I'm in the heat
He will never leave I've got life after I'm deceased

Tough times never last tough people do
So I walk by faith and keep my eyes on God
Close my eyes in prayer just to see it through
Yeah I'll see it through
When I'm presented with a trial I gotta ask myself
What would Jesus do, what would Jesus do
He died for humanity and showed love on cross while bleeding too
It was for me and you, it was for me and you
My heartbreak shouldn't make the news
But the good works of the Lord that I sing about
Testimony time, could've died blade entered skin
But glory to Him, I put faith In the King of Kings
Now I'm with Christ and I'm seated way above the rim
Even if I lose on Earth with the Lord I win
Heartbreak kid, but my pain turns into wins
Call on God through prayer, I don't need a sim
So the next time, you feel yourself getting heart pain
Understand in this life there will be heartbreak
Yeah I know how it feels to be feeling heart ache
And every time that you breathe you can feel your heart shake
Call upon the Lord and He will make your heart safe
Even in the middle of the storm you will partake
In His perfect love, you will understand it once
You get close and listen to the beat His heart makes
Ups and downs yeah there's twists and turns
And for a man like me, yeah this life will hurt
When your heart's for the people and they're eating dirt
And there's so many kids wearing filthy shirts
And by the age of five getting put to work
So I work, for the least of my brothers and I put them first
Cause one in twelve children living after birth
Don't make it past five years old on Earth
