Too close to get comfortable
Too good to be true
Sometimes this world seems dark
And what we're planning
Starts to fall apart
Where we were standing
A hummingbird flew by my window
Greeted her with a simple hello
Smile and sigh and said my goodbyes
They always leave in the flash of an eye
The work day whipped me into shape
Now I always get home late
When I'm there do what I can
Till the day starts over again
But mornings give me time to think
It's always over in a blink
Time to put it all on trial
