Where the wavin' wheat fields grow
A land of beautiful sunshine
That's where I long to go
It was there that I spent my childhood
In the woods, where I love to roam

That will always be my home
It's a land of sleepin' rivers
Of wide and roamin' plains
Where the bushman's call is "ku-wee!"
Sends music through my veins
It's a land of reachin' gumtrees
Where nature wants love to dwell

The place I love so well
You can see the bullock wagons
Rolling down the beaten track
And the old son Downer
With his swag upon his back
You can see the golden wattle
And the fields of wavin' corn

That's the place where I was born
