Walking and staring out at the sky
It's blue it's white with a beautiful smile
I know it is spring with that wonderful wind
But there's still a lot to do before summer arrives
Looking at the ground the grass is turning green
Flowers are growing it's a colourful scene
I know it is bright it's a glorious light
But there's still a lot to do before the end of the night
Rain's pouring down but it is warm outside
There's a rainbow in the distance it'll grow in size
I know it's a lie I've heard it plenty of times
So there's not a lot of hope left for that gold on one side
Layer after layer they are coming off
'Cause the temperature is rising and I'm heating up
I know it is warm summer has taken it's hold
So there's not a lot of hope left for spring to stick by
I know spring is just an in between
But will you stop to appreciate it

Now that summer has come it's not as green as before
But there's still a lot of joy for what spring has brought out
