I woke up Desperate for water As my pillow soaked up the last of my drool And I choked down Half a glass of water And I looked up to the moon I said "How old are you?" And it said "I'm still brand new" "But you've been up there For such a long, long time" "Oh no, I'm really not much older than you" I sat up Desperate for answers I wondered briefly, but I didn't have a clue So I choked down The rest of the water And I looked up to the moon I said "It can't be true" And it said "Oh, you'll see soon" "But you've been collecting craters Such a long, long time" "Well some day you'll be covered in them too" Well I woke up One day, a hundred years older Living nearly finished and nothing left to do And I broke down With a face all full of craters And I looked up to the moon I said "I'll be gone soon" And it said "You've got no clue Well you've been down there Such a long, long time Well maybe now you'll float on up here too"
