A sacrifice am I unto my Guru, unto the Guru, I am a sacrifice.
Aaye mil(u) gursikh aaye mil(u) too mere guroo ke piaare || rahaao ||
Come and see me O thou the disciple of the Guru, come and meet me
Thou. Thou art my Guru's beloved. Pause.

God's praises are pleasing to God. Them I have obtained from the Guru.
Jin gur kaa bhaan#aa mn niaa tin ghum(i) ghum(i) jaaye || 2 ||
They, who obey the Guru's will, unto them, I am a sacrifice, yea a sacrifice.
Jin sat(i)gur piaaraa dekhiyaa tin kou hou vaaree ||
They, who behold the beloved True Guru, unto them I am devoted.
Jin gur kee keetee chaakaree tin sad bal(i)haaree || 3 ||
I am ever a sacrifice unto those who perform the Guru's service.
Har(i) har(i) teraa naam(u) hae dukh met'an#haaraa ||
Thy Name, O Lord God, is the Destroyer of suffering.
Gur sevaa te paayeeae gurmukh(i) nistaaraa || 4 ||
By the service of the Guru, the Name is received. It is through
The Guru that emancipation is obtained.
Jo har(i) naam(u) dhiaayede te jan parvaanaa ||
They, who contemplate the Lord's Name, acceptable become those persons.
Tin vit'aho naanak(u) vaariaa sadaa sadaa kurbaanaa || 5 ||
Unto them, Nanak is a sacrifice and for ever and aver he is devoted.
Saa har(i) teree ustat(i) hae jo har(i) prabh bhaavae ||

Him as their reward.

They, who cherish love for their Lord, their soul is ever attuned
To God.
Oye jap(i) jap(i) piaaraa jeevade har(i)naam(u) samaale || 7 ||
Meditating and ever dwelling upon the beloved, they live and they
Gather God's Name.

The Guru-wards, who serve the Beloved Lord, unto them, I am
A sacrifice.

In God's court, they are clothed with the robe of honor. The
Lord hugs them to His bosom.
Jo gurmukh(i) naam(u) dhiaayede tin darsan(u) deejae ||
The Guru-wards, who meditate on Thy Name, O Lord, bless
Thou me with their vision.

I wash their feet and stirring repeatedly the wash of their feet,
I drink it heartily.
Paan supaaree khaateeaa mukh(i) beer'eeaa laayeeaa ||
Har(i) har(i) kade na chetio jam(i) pakar'(i) chalaayeeaa || 13 ||
They who eat betel-leaf and betel-nut and apply red paint to
Their lips but contemplate not ever the Lord God, them the death
Myrmidon seizes and takes away.
Jin har(i) naamaa har(i) chetiaa hirdae urdhaare ||
They who contemplate God's Name and God keeps clasped to
Their mind and heart.

Beloved of the Guru.

Through the Guru.

Upon it.

My Lord God, I can tread upon this path, by taking with me
The viaticum of Thee and Thy Name.

The Guru-wards, who meditate on the Lord, they are wealthy
And very wise.

Thou art the Master, Thou the Lord and Thou my Sovereign.
Tudh(u) bhaavae teree bn dagee too gun#ee gaheeraa || 21 ||
If it so pleases Thee, then alone can Thy devotional service be
Performed. O Lord, Thou art an ocean of merits.
Aape har(i) ik rn g(u) hae aapae baho rn gee ||
Himselfm the Lord is manifest in many forms and Himself He
Is in one form alone.
Jo tis(u) bhaavae naanakaa saayee gal chn gee || 22 || 2 ||
Whatever pleased Him, O Nanak that alone is the good thing,
Vaaheguroo jee kaa Khaalsaa! Vaaheguroo jee kee Fateh!!
