Биография

Martina Ortiz Luis is a Toronto-based, singer-songwriter who combines her old soul with years of classical vocal training, and a passion for R&B to create a massively undeniable voice. In 2020, Ortiz Luis released her singles “No Love” and “Irrelevant” on all major music streaming services. In contrast to the outspokenness of her previous releases, her latest single “These Days” reveals a layer of vulnerability in her music, exhibiting not only Ortiz Luis’ growth and maturity as a vocalist, but as a writer and artist. Having built a reputation as a dynamic live performer, Ortiz Luis has captivated various audiences for hundreds of events across Canada since the age of 4. At 15, she became the first ever official anthem singer for the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs in 2016, now heading into her sixth season with the organization. At the age of 11, she became a youth ambassador for World Vision, and at 13 was asked to write their official Christmas jingle, “The Spirit of Christmas” which was used commercially all-over North America. In 2019, she performed for Canada’s Walk of Fame awards night, performing a tribute to Alessia Cara and presenting Cara with the Allan Slaight Award. As an actor, she is best-known for her work as recurring character, Rachel Valdez in the fourth season of Syfy’s “Wynonna Earp”. She recently wrapped on set as a lead on a new CBC Gem musical series, “Topline”, and has also made an appearance in Netflix’s “Grand Army”.
