Little tear down his nose
To his chin

From his skin

The veins of his eyes

As he stares
Into space
Scared of the thoughts
He creates
As they form
In his head
And they won't go away
They're here
Just close your eyes when they appear

Down on his knees
He leaves
Little slices of cheese
For the mice
That he hears
Squeaks under the stairs
But at once
He arrives
And they run for their lives
Nowhere to escape
When the scariest place is his mind
If to claw
At the walls
Of his face from inside
As he stares through the drapes
At the waves turning white
They're here
