The air is always hot in here, but something really cold
A fog machine of blue and green, with a scent profound and bold
I make my way up to the stage, for an unsigned letter said
I look around, a cautious invitee, and then she turns her head
"Greetings, I see you showed up
For me it's just another night in the rough
All this work alone can be tough
But try not to burn something, you're hot enough"
Her words are echoing through my head
As we walk backstage, I wonder if I'm dead
"Let's get a little drink after this"
And then she pulled me in
A little dizzy, ethereal, hot to the touch
I'm wondering if I had a little too much
I'm not a lightweight but it's plain to see that I'll say something stupid if I try to speak
"Where should we go" she said
"I gotta get home" I said
"You're a little too buzzed" she said
And you tell me because
