Seamus Moore - The Jcb Song текст песни

Исполнитель: Seamus Moore

альбом: On the Brew

Now there's a man Delaney, he's a man of high renown
He's in the plant hire business, here in London town
He has a load of wagons, a Merc and Model T
But the pride of his possessions, is his yellow JCB
Well he takes it down to Nelly's, to the Bell and to the Crown
And the engine runs on diesel oil, it never lets him down
He takes it to the Galtee, ah but only for the craic
With Delaney at the (steering wheel, and the subbies in the back
Well the inside of his JCB, is a sight to behold
He's got curtains on the windows, of colours green white and gold
He has a photograph of Haughey, from the Dail in Dublin town
And there's one of Maggie Thatcher, but it's hanging upside down.
Now he doctored up the JCB, to give her more horse power
He thundered down the motorway, at a hundred mile an hour
And when the cops came after him, Delaney 'f, d' and blind
Well he stuck it into overdrive, and left them all behind
Now they built a fine big airport, in a place that's known as Knock
And when Monsignor first trodden the sod, sure he got an awful shock
For there beneath the heather, the water ran so free
He said I'll send for Delaney, with his yellow JCB
When the Pope he came to Ireland, well he had a pope-mobile
A great machine on tarmac, ah but no good in the fields
And when his chopper flew into Knock, what did John Paul say
He said I'm going with Delaney, in that yellow JCB
When the boys they go a-courting, with the quare ones by their sides
Some go by London Transport, some take their Raleigh bike
Some go on Shank's pony, ah but not our Mr. D
For when he goes up to Cricklewood, sure he takes th'oul JCB
