Donal Lucey is a singer-songwriter from Kerry, Ireland. Influenced heavily by modern singer- songwriters Ed Sheeran and Paolo Nutini in particular, he also takes inspiration from bands such as Coldplay and The Coronas, as well as other artists including Bon Iver and Dermot Kennedy. Donal released his debut single, ‘Another Love Song’, in 2019 and followed up with his second single, ‘Politics of the Heart’, in 2021, gaining listeners across Ireland, the UK, US and Europe. Donal has performed as support act for acts such as Wild Youth, Róisín O and Paddy Casey in venues such as The INEC, Mike The Pies and The Grand Social. Donal also featured on the line-up for KFest 2022 in Kerry, Ireland. In 2021 Donal was voted Radio Kerry’s ‘New Local Hero’ for the Irish Music Month ‘New Local Hero’ competition ran with Hot Press. He was one of twenty-five national finalists and was included in Hot Press’ ‘Hot for 2022’ list in their January edition. His latest single ‘No Regrets’ was released on January 12th and received radio play across local and national radios in Ireland and is the lead single from his debut E.P. ‘Untitled’ which is out now!
