"Something completely unique - a creative confluence of musical and intellectual energies" - SiriusXM Fresh from a sold-out Australian national tour, Formidable Vegetable are hitting the road again with some all-new Spoonbill-boosted electro-funk tunes to launch their new album 'Micro Biome' - full of love songs for gut flora and positive climate action that the whole neighbourhood can get down to. Receiving accolades from the UN and having toured to over 20 countries, Formidable Vegetable inspire folks from 5 to 95 to grow their own food, restore their own biosphere and live a better life whilst getting down to irresistibly funky tunes about home-scale solutions to the many problems of the world. From the local farmers market to massive festivals such as Glastonbury, Formidable Vegetable are as at home on stage alongside the likes of Radiohead, Dolly Parton and The Rolling Stones as they are in their own garden. Ukulele-strumming eco-troubadour Charlie Mgee grew up in an off-grid mud brick hut in the south-west of Western Australia among trees, chickens and a veggie garden, later graduating to a waste veggie oil-powered housetruck, true to his song, No Such Thing as Waste.
