Dead soldiers rot upon a pile of bleached bones
Vultures picking at vacant eye sockets
The wealthy bureaucrats smile at the wanton carnage
Of shrapnel-torn corpses with purple hearts soaked red
Assuring the public once again the economy is secure
While bodies are thrown in mass graves
The American people sleep safe and sound
Never knowing the cost of "freedom" means the death of innocents
