Recorded between 2016 and 2019 at Fort Worth’s Niles City Sound, Wrongdoer is the outcome of deep partnership between Jake Paleschic & drummer, engineer, mixer & producer Josh Block. While cutting the record was a 3 year affair, writing the record took nearly a decade’s worth of living that began at 23 and lasted up until Jake was 31. As Paleschic tells it, “this record happened in as many settings as there are songs. Journaling on the old front porch before roommates were awake or after they’d gone to bed, making voice notes in my truck, shutting myself in the bathroom with the good reverb to suss-out melodies.” Wrongdoer was born in doubt, raised in transit, and is sprinting it’s way to the listener as a resplendent example of Paleschic’s sonic & personal maturation. 
 Wrongdoer is an album chock-full of blue collar without ever sacrificing nuanced craft and complexity. It is straightforward & 9 miles deep simultaneously, and it was written by hands that know both the pen & the hammer. Wrongdoer is the house that Jake built. The door is left unlocked and the invitation is open to every listener: Come on in. Kick up your feet. Pour a drink. Rest and know that you, with all your good & all your bad, aren’t as alone as you think.
