It's hard to force a smile
In this brazen time we live in
Fever of youth with its mad desires
Taste the fruits of the forbidden
Easy standing in the crowd
Takes courage to stand out
While history repeats itself
Man only conquers the world by concurring himself
As I look Over the fields of devotion
I see the clouds of silver lining
I'm Humbled in this wave of emotion
Thats been Far too long in hiding
Whether we fall by ambition or lust
Like diamonds cut with our own dust
Alone we can do so little but together do so much
If hate's such a strong word
Then why does love get tossed around
Lost In this world of hurt so hard to bear
The healing takes the crown
What wisdom can you find
Greater than being kind
To err is human but forgive is divine
Thoughts speak to the mind
While truth speaks to all mankind
As were walking in the fields of devotion
Getting closer everyday
And we're going with our eyes wide open
Whatever troubles stand in our way
And I know we'll face the days as they come
Listening to a far different drum
Till we finally have our season in the sun
