As i wander The quiet fields ahead Every step I take plant the seed of regret And I've welcomed so many days now When daylight melts our hopes into dream. Sun has disappeared from sight again. My shadow lingers in the memory of light. I hold the fate of men, Unveiled our fears are nothing but ourselves Left without something to kneel at Our wreckage has to come yet We're marching fearless just to stand still And silent. I see a darkness looming in the distance And I hear a silence blooming from the soil. All stars are framed and caressed by a static wind And crumble as it roars. I've starved our binding reason And yet we're followed But my shadows does not belong to me anymore. Onwards clouds are moving sideways. As the lives we leave behind. Endless white pulls us under. So pale yet so bright. Flames may be expired, The sky over shelters our will. I dream of crying But no tears see the morning light. A faded verse on a broken rhyme. My shadow has left this shores, Soon I'll reach the other side. Set adrift with these words of mine.
