Came a long way
Went through the darkest tunnel trying to be the light to
Maybe bring out all the other lost souls that I saw along the way
Maybe that's why I'm attracted to darkness sometimes
Not cause I wanna be
Because I ought to be
If we as salt of the earth, won't go to the forbidden places
And offer help to the hopeless then, who will?
So many broken
So many open
Susceptible to anything
Just looking for everything
I was lost
Went too far gone down the path that
The darkness began to consume me
Instead of bringing others to the light
My light was burning out
I was fading
Be careful around the ones that say they love you
Love is a big word
Instead pay more attention to the actions of those around you
Jesus said to love our enemies
Rightfully so
I know broken souls can't always control the pain that they bring others
For they know no better
They know not what they do
I pray we all see it through
And change the earth with love
I'm still learning how to
And I'm not perfect
I know this
But I am righteous
Not by my own being
Not by my own will
But through the Almight
He is the light
And through him I'll continue to shine
And as I reach I'll help continue to pull out as many as I can
