Chris Magerl has been a part of the Austrian music scene for many years. He released several records as a solo artist and with his bands, toured through Europe and Canada, performed at various Festivals and played support shows for artists like Frank Turner, Beans On Toast, Scott Matthew or Kevin Devine, only to name a few. In 2019 Chris Magerl formed a new group called “Chris Magerl And The Burning Flags”. Shortly after 2020’s Corona lockdown they recorded a live session entitled “the lost summer sessions” that was later released through Sbäm Records and Lost Dog Records. On November 5th 2021 the band released their first full length album called “Sand Timer” on Sbäm Records. The album includes powerful punk tracks, but also quiet and melancholic indie tunes and a feature with the German punk group “The Detectors”.
