    18 years old Maria Sur was born and raised in Ukraine where she pursued her dream of becoming a singer when she applied to The Voice Ukraine early 2022. When the war broke out Maria and her mom fled the country and had to leave her dad behind. Maria ended up in Sweden where she started to contact famous Swedish artists on Instagram and hoped someone would help her with her career. The only one that answered was the famous Swedish pop/soul artist Sarah Dawn Finer - that took Maria under her wings. Sarah pitched Maria for a charity concert in the Avicii Arena where she got invited to sing a cover of Destiny Child’s hit “Survivor”. It was a huge success and Maria received standing ovations from the whole arena! Warner Music Sweden spotted her at the concert and a few weeks later Maria Sur was offered a record deal! Warner Music is donating all shares of the first single “That’s The Way” for Ukrainian charity She performed the single on Sweden’s biggest morning show June 11th. She has a collaboration with the organization En Frisk Generation (A Healthy Generation), an organization formed by Prince Daniel of Sweden which goal is to help kids and families to be more active and healthy.
