There's a logic in this world, it's not the same as yours The bad are all good people, the good are thieves and whores What you regard as chaos is all ordered here What you regard as normal here is thought as queer Everything is opposite to what it seems Everything that's dirty here it is clean For here is simply a world that's upside down Your logic here all of it will drown The actions which appear in your world to be mad In this world are all logical, rational not bad So throw away your prejudice as to what is sane and good Then this world that you see can be understood So rather than on water choke See clearly that this is God's little joke When God is feeling a little bit bored He turns us upside-down the sky's now the floor And twice upside-down is back up the right way Except what is wrong and right, who is to say? So a few times a day or a week, month or year Everything that's rational turns suddenly queer And how long this lasts of course no one can say Perhaps for an aeon, a year or a day But one thing's for certain, one thing is sure The world upside-down will always endure
