Alisya Rae [a-lee-sha ray] is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist creating Alternative R&B. Based in Naarm/Melbourne, she returns to her birthplace after years abroad in London, Qatar, the Netherlands and Texas. Though her roots are in classical training, her sound leans more towards Soul, R&B and Jazz influences. Her music is inspired by artists old and new such as H.E.R, Stevie Wonder and Yebba. Alisya's sound is distinctive in her rich timbre and vocal riffs paired with soulful grooves, which she uses to tell her stories of navigating relationships, her own anxieties and love in all its forms.
