I let my guard down for a second
That's all it took
The virus took over my body
My muscles shook
There's plenty of blame to go around
But it doesn't matter
What matters is just
Winning this battle
Nothing else matters
My only wish this year
Is to exist
And beat this sickness

Didn't know if I'd make it

To protect ones I love
Chewing was forced, my body burned
My flesh screamed
Lungs heavy, friends were so damn mean
And all I did was sleep
